Sophie Reads Dolly A Story

We've had a fairly quiet, routine day with Sophie: she was tired after a busy day at Nursery yesterday and was happy to sit and play for most of the day.

Here she was reading dolly a story; she's taken to opening a book and starting off with "once upon a time ..."

We did make a brief foray into the village where we bumped into an old friend and teaching colleague who I haven't seen since we retired. We taught English together for more years than either of us care to remember, ran together and became something of a double act in the annual school Christmas panto as well as in the classroom. We managed a brief catch-up with what we'd been up to in the last 3 or 4 years and swapped granddaughter-minding experiences
