Friday First

A bitter wind this morning so we headed for the shelter of the woods. Crossing Low Field we headed up Blind Lane which certainly warmed us up. There was a dusting of snow on the wall tops and amongst the leaves at the side of the path.

We returned along a short path that I have never crossed before and spotted these trees growing out of the moss covered rocks.

As we emerged from the woods to cross the field above the Cricket Ground the sun came through the clouds but it has remained very cold with flurries of snow in the air.

It was only an hour's walk of 3 miles but it seemed hard going this morning and I'm now feeling weary.
