Seed heads

These are the seed heads from some aliums that I picked from my garden earlier in the year. Its not the best photo - a better background would have helped and I'm not sure its all in focus. However, time was short!

I can't believe how well the seed heads have dried, and that they are still looking nice several months on. I love the shape, the simplicity, and the delicateness (not sure if that is a word) of them. I think they may inspire some textile work at some point, but sometimes I just need to let ideas develop on their own in the back of my head for a while.
