Royal Victoria Hospital East Lodge and Gateway

Another planned blip today as my lunchtime walk is to the diy store to get some lightbulbs. The hospital has closed and the grounds are being redeveloped. The East Lodge, a Grade B Listed building, was built around 1914, when the hospital administration block was built.

The site being developed is along Craigleith Rd, in the woodland and the site of a hospital building that was built in the 1980s, but was damaged by storms in the 1990s and then abandoned. The hospital is accessed from Crewe Rd S.
