Bad Hair Day

This Snowy Egret had just had an altercation with a mature little blue heron and after he had chased it away, he was in quite a state of disarray.  He (or she?) then turned his aggression on an immature little blue heron.  At first, I thought it was another snowy egret, but my research tells me that immature little blues are all white.  I have included an image of the two of them in extras. It all happened so fast, it isn't quite in focus but you will get the idea. 

We spent the morning at the Loxahatchee Wildlife Refuge where I also got shots of red-shouldered hawks mating, baby alligators, mockingbirds and a few butterflies and dragonflies, all of which will eventually end up on Flickr.
