Highs and Lows

We've been on a coach trip today to see a bit more of the island. From the coast to the mountains, we've seen some wonderful scenery and greenery. Monstrous sea cliffs and crashing Atlantic waves, giant and ancient heather and bay trees, wild Canna lilies, Eucalyptus forests, steep terraces, Banana trees and sugar cane. According to our guide, anything will grow on Madeira. I can well believe it. Two images again - in extras, a point near the top of the island, and as as the main image, waves breaksing on the volcanic rocks along the North-west coastof the island.
