Blackbird gathering nesting material!

Another cold, damp, overcast day!  The Met Office have today's temperature for Montrose as 4C degrees  -  scrolling down I discovered they have a 'Feels like' column and that register -1C degree.  I agree with that:)  It must be nest-building time for this Blackbird - as you can see he is not at all interested in the seeds that have fallen from the bird feeder, but on the twigs that are lying around. I was lucky to catch him with one in his beak.  The extra is the Jackdaw hiding up in the tree waiting for his turn at the feeder  -  at that moment there was a big Rook feeding out of it  -  not a bird for a Jackdaw to challenge!
