At the pond
A much nicer day today after all last night's rain. We went for a walk around Coppice Pond before going into Lady B's for a coffee.
Although we walk around here every Thursday it is nice to do it at a more leisurely pace now and then and see what is happening. We saw the Goosanders that have been spotted before. There were 3 of them mainly in the centre of the pond abit far out for a good shot. Comparing them with the illustration on the information board they didn't seem to quite match. We looked them up when we got home and they seem to look more like female Red Breasted Mergansers. The female is white with a brown tufted head. See what you think in the extra.
The swans were there and seem a settled pair now and there were some catkins in the trees but it was this guy that caught my eye for a blip. At the far side of the pond there is an Archery centre but on our early walks there is rarely any one participating.
Hope his arrow hit the spot. Your's certainly did with all your wonderful comments, hearts and stars on my 2500th blip yesterday. Thank you so much for your support and friendship.
