One Happy Girl
"A riding lesson" was at the top of 10-year-old granddaughter Z's list of things to do on their brief visit (late afternoon Monday through late afternoon today), and that was checked off with great satisfaction this morning.
Our thoughtful neighbor, S, arranged for Z to have a private riding lesson at the stable where she rides. Z had ridden "Baby," a well-trained little mare at that stable, when she visited us some time ago, but not had an actual lesson then. Today she did, and it was wonderful to watch her concentration and focus, from the pre-ride grooming session above to the post-ride treat for Baby of grazing in some fresh grass, with Z close by.
Z's already lobbying her parents for another visit here and another riding lesson soon!
Phil and I were struck by how much Z and B had seemed to grow since we last saw them, just six weeks ago -- thanks to their dad, D, for taking this nice photo of the four of us today!
