Day Two

I got to Silverado at about 7:45, before my mom was up. The morning went well so long as she thought we were staying in a hotel and making the most of it. She asked for extra bacon at breakfast -- for a total of at least four slices! Here she is looking cheery in the room.

The good:
- Terisa called and that connection was made. Since my mom doesn't have a phone in the room, they just tracked her down and let her use the cordless. That worked well.
- My mom went to the morning engagement activity and stayed for the whole thing. Hurray.
- We spent 45 minutes lying on her bed watching Corgi videos on my laptop. Double hurray.

The questionable:
- No one came by mom's room at lunch time. I asked about that and was told that that wasn't normal. Hmm...
- The group of residents I thought would make good friends for my mom seem as agitated and confused as she is. How do they connect?
- When I left my mom was packing up again.
