Trying

I managed to get SWMBO up mid-morning.
In the afternoon we went to visit the usual suspect who is now out of hospital.
She has only the vaguest memory of us visiting her in hospital - so the drugs do work!
Both she and her husband were saying how their eyes had been opened to aspects of the underbelly of society and the inefficient bureaucracy within the health care system ............ people basically refusing to go home when discharged (claiming they have no way of getting home and being allowed another night or two), people (known to the staff) making false claims of 'pain' to get drugs, 'paperwork' taking all day to be completed resulting in another night's stay .... that sort of thing.
Also she was discharged but her husband had to go back in the next day because they were not allowed to give enough medication and there was no way for the local hospital to dispense -- that was a two and a half hour trip instead of a half hour one.

The colour was trying to get through when we stopped off to get a jar of marmalade but the clouds were just too thick.
