Strathmiglo Kirk

Today we visited this lovely old church in Strathmiglo as two of our friends were being ordained as elders during the service. We arrived very early so had plenty time to admire the interior with its quaint old box pews and lovely stained glass windows with a large pulpit between them.

The church was built in 1787 and I always find it  interesting to see the different architecture and interior layouts of our old church building.

It was a lovely service and like so many  villages it has a fairly small and somewhat elderly congregation. We were very glad that we went and we also enjoyed the coffee and special cake afterwards.
