Silly Saturday - Silly Frog
Up to the hills again, with boxes of old files to be burnt or otherwise disposed of. Dropped HH off at the club, where he had a committee meeting, and headed home to the dogs and a bit more clearing out.
Froggie's back - today sitting solemnly in an empty water bowl, so I filled two others for the dogs and gave him some to cool him down as well. Lots of butterflies around - and oh, what big eyes they have! And a pair of Arapongas (Bare-throated Bellbirds) were calling to each other, so close, so close, but I couldn't spot them for the life of me. I went snooping with the binoculars, not even taking the camera, but they just laughed at me and stayed hidden. How can a mainly white bird, about the size of a magpie (without the long tail), be invisible among green leaves?
Steady rain for the last couple of hours. The road at the bottom of our hill is looking more like a river bed every time we come up - or rather, a series of streams on a day like today.
