Just the thing on a gloomy afternoon!

The rain had set in over the marshes and dusk was falling, and dear friend B, husband M and I were all about to tuck into B's birthday afternoon tea at the Blakeney Hotel.  As you can see it was very traditional, lovely fresh finger sandwiches, including smoked salmon and cucumber of course.  Followed by scones with lashings of clotted cream and jam, and then a tempting selection of home made cakes, all accompanied by pots of tea (and a glass or two of champagne for M).
How very civilised!
