Hallo Sun, I have been waiting for you to come say hallo in anticipation! Today is the day I'll be getting answers from Dr Hans Jekel!!

But alas, this disease is going to teach me patience!!

After the Dr made C and I feel comfortable, he examined me and then he started explaining to us that Invasive Ductal Carcinoma means that the cancer has spread from the milk ducts into the breast tissue and it is the kind of cancer that may invade other organs as well, and he must be sure that it hasn't happened before he can decide on further treatment and operation options! He will do a bilateral mastectomy, but only after the other organs were declared clean! Eisch!

He did lots of blood tests late this afternoon, eg Liver functions, Kidney functions, Full blood counts, Cancer markers, etc and tomorrow I will have sonars and scans done to check the lungs, liver, kidneys, ovaries and lower abdomen, I will see him Thursday at 08:30 to discuss the results of all these tests and only then will he be able to discuss further options and when the operation will be done! It will most probably happen early next week.

Phew!! I am quite exhausted now!!
