Spring-like

I might have felt like spring when I went to the gym this morning, but it was fake news. The grey was back in no time. But the yellow winter jasmine looks cheery.

The consortium which runs the gym put up the fees threefold. We were not pleased as the other gyms in the group have better facilities and more classes. This morning an instructor turned up while three of us were there and at least showed us how to use the weights correctly. She says she may be allowed over to do some Pilates and circuit training.

The clinical commissioning group have decided, despite hearing the concerns of locals, that the local hospital beds will be removed permanently and the "consultation" will be about how to use the building - as NHS is still paying for it.

I did like the winning poem in NZ Dunedin's annual Burns Competition. I can't do a link on my ipad. It's by Lorna Wallace from Kilmarnock and is entitled "A Scots lament for her American fellows" if you want to google it.
