View from the top

Day out in London with Paul today - an early birthday treat. After meeting for brunch, we went up Sky Garden for a view over London - a bit grey but a nice experience all the same. Then off the the Jewish Museum for a ceramic exhibition that Paul had noticed was on - including work by Edmund de Waal - much appreciated after my comment on here the other day. And then after dinner, an evening at a showing of the film There Will Be Blood with a live orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall. Excellent - I wasn't sure what having a live orchestra would add to the film but it it did enhance it and certainly made the soundtrack take on a more important role in the film than is often the case. And it is a very good soundtrack. An excellent day all round - I felt very spoilt.
