CLOCK TOWER
Holbeck Clock Tower, Esplanade, Scarborough, North Yorkshire, UK.
Scarborough's Clock Tower is a fine example of Scarborough's Victorian past and, as well as being surrounded by beautiful gardens, it provides fantastic views out to sea and across the south bay.
Holbeck Clock Tower was purchased by Alfred Shuttleworth, whose summer residence was at 'Red Court', then a hotel, across the Esplanade. He later donated the clock tower to the town of Scarborough in 1911, the year of the coronation of King George V.
