Kharkiv

After breakfast in Poltava we headed east to Kharkiv about 150km and about 80km from the border with Russia.
We had a sight seeing tour of Kharkiv on the bus.A beautiful and interesting city but so frustrating being stuck on the bus with a camera.We did stop at the railway museum and a shot of one of the trains in extras.
We had a conference and a gala dinner organised for this evening but I decided to head out into the city alone and get some shots.In the main picture is the new cathedral just as it was going dark.Walking through the park the fountain was all frozen up as shown in extras.
Stood for half an hour under a hot shower trying to warm up.I missed dinner but twelve of us headed up to the Sky Bar.What a fantastic place like walking onto the set of a Bond Movie only the girls were far more beautiful.Even in dreams girls never looked as good as this.The view over the city was fantastic we went out onto the balcony but at -26C we didn't stay out too long.
A good crowd.We all put a fair amount away and then started on the karaoke.We left the bar before 2am ready to be up at 5am.
