1000
I think today is my 1,000th Blip. I started on this expedition hoping not to miss a single day. Of course I have missed days. Work, travel, lack of inspiration were some excuses that I have had. On days I failed, I tried the next day. And, here I am 1,000.
Today I wanted to get something really special for a Blip. But, at the same time, I knew my dog needed a walk. I packed him in the car and drove down to a lovely walking path with views of downtown and the surrounding hills. I put my camera round my neck, put my fingerless gloves on and then opened the door to let my dog out. Alas, I had forgotten his lead.
I drove back home and decided just to walk in the neighborhood. It seems like I have photographed my immediate surroundings time and time again. I wanted to find something new, something different. I felt stumped.
Alas, I felt less than inspired, the day was grey and here we are. Of the 50 shots I took, the one I thought I'd share. I chose it because of the lines and the symmetry between the fence posts and the tall poles.
If you're taking the time to read this, thanks for being on this journey with me. You inspire me with your photos. I hope to be a better photographer one day.
