X-Country Skiing at Echo Ridge

It's been almost 3 decades since I have done any X-country skiing. After my move, I decided to embrace winter and I bought some X-country skis from venerable outfitter LL Bean. My friend Jane took me to Echo Ridge above Lake Wenatchee. The ski association and the forest service have designed wonderful courses for skiers of all abilities. This was the first time I skiied in tracks. I had a wonderful day! It is so wonderful to be in the forest with hardly anyone around and experience it in the silence of winter.
