Diary of an Edinburgher

Dreich day

It was raining today. All day! Quite a shock. I texted Elizabeth and said that she shouldn't feel obliged to take Archie out, but she doesn't mind a bit of rain.

I didn't tell him that Elizabeth was coming, but he knows something's up when the front door is opened, and the poo bags and treats are set out. He was up on the chair, waiting, when his favourite borrower arrived.

This gave us the opportunity to nip to a shopping centre and visit a certain shop which was full of every item you can think off, with very reasonable prices. I've never set foot in one before, but I really enjoyed it!

We went mainly to get a couple of large plastic containers with lids, but we came out with much much more. We need the big plastic tubs because the mice have been helping themselves to our huge bag of bird seed in the shed - the little blighters.

When we came home, we watched Trainspotting - I recorded it this week. We've never seen it, but there has been so much publicity about it at the moment in the city, and T2 looks slightly less horrible than T1. I have noted that T2 is on the Silver Screen at the Cameo this week, which includes a cuppa and a biscuit. That's Tuesday afternoon sorted - hope it's a dreich day.

A shot from their very muddy very wet walk in extras, and Archie relaxing in Elizabeth's lap when they came back. He always comes back clean and dry. Elizabeth is our favourite borrower too!
