Riverwalk Bridge
A little late on posting this so I guess it's a backblip. One of Jon's "retirement jobs" is to video record high school basketball and football games for a website called NHSportspage. They cover games in Division I (the largest schools in the state) to Division 4 (smallest). On this day they were covering a Division 4 game in Littleton, NH (population about 6000) in the White Mountains. It's about a 2 hour ride from our home and he made me an offer to go up with him earlier in the day, check out the area and have dinner before the game. He knows how to tempt me. After a web search, I was sold. Apparently it's a bit of a tourist town with a couple of ski areas nearby and a fall foliage destination. Lots of cute shops and restaurants. Unfortunately, the day was gray, cold and snowy, but we certainly made the best of it.
This is the Riverwalk Covered Bridge and the extra is the view from inside it. The wind was whistling through and I wished it had windows!!
Anyway, dinner was great and the hometown team won. The fans were grateful to have their game recorded for posterity and posted to the website. The funny thing was some of the moms, dads and siblings had cousins on both teams - small towns, love the atmosphere.
