Card school..

We had our first family day since my cousin died - think we were all a bit concerned about how it would feel, but in fact it was just the same as always - the olds playing cards all afternoon, kids running amok in the garden, football fans watching Arsenal v Stoke and the rest of us sitting in the garden drinking and eating.

My uncle Jimmy lost all his money, but luckily they just play for pennies. His older sisters (my mum being one of them) are better at cards than him, or maybe they gang up on him, I'm not sure.

When everyone was leaving, they were all saying 'see you at the wedding' - so we really better get on with organising it I think!
