Greystoke Forest

A beautiful morning so Clickychick and I went to the forest for a walk.  A good day for a walk sunshine and frost so even off the forest roads it was firm under foot.  I am still kicking myself for missing the Sled Dog gathering in the forest last weekend.

The shot shows a Limestone escarpment which runs through the forest.  I took it because of our recent visits to Eycott Hill reserve.   The reserve is at the other side of the forest and the first part is under laid by this type of limestone. For reasons I don't understand the limestone on the reserve doesn't outcrop like this.
