Fieldfare Fare

It's been seriously cold today and very grey, so I just stayed inside again........except for when I put out more sunflower hearts, peanuts, apples and fatballs..........I spread them over the lawn for the huge flock of blackbirds ( we estimate there are 25 plus) that are now regulars. Because it has been so cold they have devoured a whole lawn full in next to no time and supplies have been topped up four times. They most certainly don't get that much every day ( we're not made of money!!) but I felt they needed it today.........and it also attracted a most welcome new visitor from the fields, as you can see :-))......I have added an extra of him showing off his lovely red/brown chest  :-)
