Blue skies

What a beautiful blue sky sun shiny January day today - such a change from yesterday's fog, and a bit warmer too.  Actually sat in the garden this afternoon to drink my tea and watch the birds.  I was surprised last year to learn that Starlings are protected, because there are certainly plenty of them here. Even more so when I put food out for them, which I have done each frosty morning. (RSPB info here)

This evening my bro and Cara came round and he cooked a surprise  (meat free) Christmas dinner for the three of us. We had silly hats, crackers, and even set fire to the Christmas pudding !  and he did all the clearing up afterwards.  Merry Christmas everyone !!
