Rubbish Day!

Literally.

Spent much of the day finally clearing stuff thats accummulated in the garage over the last two years. Three trips to the council rubbish tip recycling centre each time with a car full to the gunnels with cardboard, broken chairs, buckets, wheel barrow, polystyrene foam, broken pots, old clothes, shoes, old oven, wood, drawers. You name it - it went!

Also rescued were three boxes full of Lego, one box of K'Nex and one of Meccano. All have been stored for eighteen months after a massive clear out of the boys rooms. Its sad that they have both grown up and are no longer interested in this kind of thing. Its all had a good life with man many hours of enjoyment (not only for both Jamie and Jonathan but also for me). But, they've both moved on to computer games (Minecraft has been the only one for several months now), phones, bikes, girls, football and in Jamie's case, sleeping, computers and cider.

We've found homes for most of it - there must be several hundred pounds worth of Lego. So, before it departs to give endless enjoyment elsewhere, I thought I'd capture the base material for fun.

Tomorrow - I have to put away all my tools that have slowly been dropped into boxes, decorating stuff that I couldn't get back to their rightful storage location due to the accumulated mountain of dross. There's two boxes of assorted cables, connectors and widgets to sort throgh too. Three computers to strip down, recover useful bits and put the HDs beyond use awating my attention. Finally, I'll be able to get back in there!
