Don't touch me

No idea what these are called - am sure someone will tell me. They clearly don't look pleasant to touch - probably a self defence from birds or animals I guess.

Today didn't go to plan at all.

This looked liked being the best day of the weekend so we planned a day out and found two local events to go out to for a few hours. So, we duly got up early(ish) and jumped in the car. To out disappointment, both had been cancelled due to water logged fields. I didn't think it had raied quite that much recently. So, on the spur of the moment, we scooted over to Kingsbury waterpark. A nice long walk around ensued.
