Connections

The book in my photograph was recommended by a friend last week. Since I got hold of a copy a few days ago I couldn't put it down until lunchtime today. A thoroughly good read. This evening D (our son, staying with us at the moment...useful) downloaded the film for me to watch. Very good, but glad I had read the book first. There is only so much detail a film can portray. Anyway, the scenery was amazing and more like New Zealand than west coast Australia. I watched all of the credit roll to note NZ had been the country for filming and a mention was given to a place called St Bathans, well I live a stone's throw from Abbey St Bathans, the quaint wee village in the Scottish Borders which St Bathans is named after!
