Today I continued the decluttering - posting a huge box of things off to the foxy charity auction, delivering a few boxes to the charity shop and finishing off the sewing bits and bobs tidy up.

This is the most beautiful little dress that was in the very bottom of the trunk full of fabric. I love it. It looks rather 1930s to me - so maybe mum's (she was born in 1927) and made for her by my grandma. Neither of my sisters remembers seeing it before so it may always be a mystery.

It's also a fine example of why you must never throw anything away! It needs its buttons replacing - and luckily I haven't got rid of the mother of pearl buttons yet, so that's what I'll use.
