Ten plus one

What I had thought was to be a morning in Auckland, yesterday turned into a full day, followed by overnighting in the apartment. A bit slow to get away back to the beach, so that we made it in time for a late lunch. Later, S had a wish to look for some items in the kitchenware store in Warkworth with Mrs T.

Because the riverside walk in Warkworth is lovely, I proposed that while they did that, Tsuken, his children and I could walk along the river bank. The children ran, jumped and sat their way along the river bank path, with only the oaccasional bit of walking. 

On the far side of the Mahurangi River a fallen tree has been the roosting place for Kawau tui (Little Black Shag) for at least a couple of years. Other shags roost elsewhere; earlier I did get a good photo of a Karuhiruhi (Pied Shag), but preferred this photo.

After the walk, some time was spent in the Warkworth children's playground, before we headed back to Snells Beach for a walk, swim and play at the beach. Not agreed to by all, although Miss 11 omitted only the swim. The extra for today is her on the flying fox. Photo taken immediately after the moment of impact with the spring loaded stopping point.
