Head and heart

I decided not to rush back to Shrewsbury today, only to have to drive back down on Tuesday evening, back up Wednesday, back down Friday....
so I had to buy clothes suitable for my interview on Wednesday. I bought coat, blouse and (very unusually ) shoes all in 40 minutes. Buying shoes usually involves several aborted attempts and crying. Asda came up trumps.
My heart said I should be with mum while she recuperates, help with the packing and clearing of the house and preparing for the interview. My head said I should get to school, earn money and do the driving. Heart won - head nil
