Boxing Day Blues

No retail therapy for me, the only way to beat the Boxing Day blues is to get out in the fresh air and work up a good appetite. It seemed today like every man (and his dog) had got the same idea. Usually a walk up Nicky Nook on the edge of the Forest of Bowland is a quite affair. But not today. Walkers etiquette demands that you greet a fellow walker with a cheery 'hello'' an acknowledging nod or a few superlative comments about the weather or the views.
