Opening Day

River Tay Salmon Season Opening Day at Meikleour Fishings on 16th Jan 2017 where I was fortunate enough to get invited to fish (from the boat, rather than the punters who were fishing from the bank) and managed to catch a lovely salmon in the process (see extra photos)


Apart from a photo of my mate Calum the Ghillie and his bairns which i managed to take a snap of as they ran up to him after the opening ceremony , this is my favourite photo from today. TV cameras and press were there, but during all the filming and speeches i managed to turn around and take this shot just as the sun was rising above the hill in the background, creating a lovely golden glow.  


Another excellent day on the Tay at Meikleour.
