Trusty Steed
The trusty steed. Got us safely up there and back, where no one else dared go today (at least for the time we were there anyway!)
Took at trip up to Loch Tay for sunset pictures this evening. Clouds and sun weren't playing ball, so decided as the light was fading to head up Ben Lawers.
The snow had been compacted and turned to sheet ice. Its not the drive up that can kill you, its the way down!
Getting to the top was no problem at all, but despite being in a 4x4 and in low box 1st gear inching my way down, we still ended up diagonal across the road sliding, twice, with only a sheer drop behind! Nothing like that to kick in the adrenaline and driving skills. So glad I did a Landy driving course years ago. Down safe and sound.
