The Lamb’s Tail catkins are starting to flower giving a promise that surely spring can’t be too far away.    There are hundreds of tiny male flowers on each of these Hazel catkins and as they swing in the breeze the yellow pollen is blown onto the tiny little female flowers which are largely concealed in the buds with only the little red styles visible.
