Can't See the Loch for the Trees
We drove north through mist and murk.
Things did not improve till late in the day. The sun began to appear above the cloud cover as we went into the Great Glen, and by the time we'd turned westwards the sky had cleared and we had clear views of the lochs and the mountains of Kintail ahead.
But the light was starting to go. And every possible stopping place had birch trees growing along the edge, no chance of a clear view.
We're now arrived and settled in front of the fire with a wee dram, and mentally preparing ourselves for tomorrow's fun and games.
