Winter branches

Silver birch branches against a clear sky today. Despite the forecast, it has been very frosty and the sun has shone all day!
A visit to the hairdresser after an enjoyable walk with Russet, a little shopping and browsing through a lovely collection of lamps in a shop which extends back and back through room after room! The old buildings are much more interesting than any purpose built, new, spacious and shiny stores!

But I am puzzled by the new light bulbs - and I am now holding back from replacing an old lamp - as we don't want a lamp which gives out a dim, cold or gloomy light!! Any advice welcome!
