People say we monkey around

It's the busiest 2 days of the year here: slap bang in the middle of the Bank Holiday weekend.

We thought Richard would be working non-stop for 6 days but he managed to get away after lunch. And we managed to avoid the chaos by slipping sideways through the hoards of grockles stuck in traffic and go for a play on Braunton Burrows! Whoop!

It's a perfect place to monkey around.
I'm only sorry Gemma didn't come with us. She's still struggling to make her room accessible for a carpet-fitter to come and measure up tomorrow afternoon. Four Monkees in the photo would have been so much better.

I'm popping the other photos on flickr for my benefit but feel free to have a nose.

Tess didn't eat enough lunch (does she ever?) so was rather challenging and kept yelling at her dad that he was ruining her fun (she didn't mean it). But she does do the most impressive jumping, rolling, and climbing up big sand dunes. Richard impressed me by being the most enthusiastic 'leaping for the sake of a photo' and for that he gets a sticker.
Joel... Well... He can clearly levitate (unenthusiastically) and should be on TV.

So big ups (whatever that means...) to all my family tonight for a better day.

A moment please for 17-yr-old Gemma who can't fathom how this tidying lark is supposed to work and is actually "dying" apparently
