A real fungi

OK, I've got that out of my system now!

Think this is a horse-hair fungus. Love its delicate black stem. They tend to grow on twigs, needles and leaves and also dead heather and so a scottish conifer plantation is ideal. I hope you get some sense of scale from the background: it is tiny (as father Ted might say 'the fungus is close, the trees are far away')
