In the bamboo garden
An old Venetian mask worn in a bamboo thicket in the lower garden. This eerie shot was taken before a rain storm. The air was still and heavy, and the image emerged like something from a netherworld. The missing pearls were replaced from a box of culinary pearls from Thailand which were originally to be ground up for an extravagant addition to the diet, or made into a medicinal paste. I could not have done this shot without my daughter! I owe her one!
