Swimming with rays

Today we berthed at Cozumel, Mexico and had an exciting expedition ahead of us - we visited a Sting Ray sanctuary where we were able to actually touch and feed sting rays (we were assured that their stings , like our toenails, had been removed). I was astonished at how soft and velvety their skin was and when we were given tiny sardine like fish to feed them with we had to put our hands just underneath the body and they snaffled them up so quickly. Afterwards we donned snorkel gear and went into a larger area where we saw both Rays and other colourful fish. All very exciting.

The day was extremely hot so following our swim we did a little shopping then returned to the ship for a splash in the pools on board and the boys tried their skills at the climbing wall.
