View through the Rain
One huge Blipmeet today with the 'usual suspects' plus quite a few others joining in; more than 20 as long as you can include a few 'extras'. I wonder what the number in the Guinness Book of Records might be - or perhaps the 'World's Biggest Blipmeet' might be a new category?
We gathered in The Salvation Army Cafe near Millennium Bridge for coffee/lunch/catch-up, and then went on over to Tate Modern for a look at the Radical Eye exhibition showcasing Elton John's private photographic collection. There was the obligatory 'group hug' photo which was difficult, apart from the problem of getting so many cats to stay in the same place and face the same way! The bonus was managing to convince a security guard that I really did need to use a tripod for a few minutes.
The rain had started as forecast and continued for the rest of our time in London - there were some very wet views from the museum. I wandered off through other galleries, more for the people watching than the exhibits. My blip is looking out towards St Paul's Cathedral with a lone walker and umbrella showing just how wet it was. After the finale gathering of tea and cake, several of us headed off for a wet walk back to stations and the journey home; I was surprised to see a bit of snow evident in Aylesbury.
