Old and the new

Been waiting for a blip drought to post a shot of my new ukulele, a Christmas present from Susan and Doreen. It's a tenor uke and, as you can see, is somewhat larger than the soprano uke I've been playing. It gives a little more space for the fingers and a much richer sound than the £19.95 racing car green model.

The morning was hijacked again by medical matters. I was fully expecting to visit the doctors to see whether the pain in my cheek, which I've had for several days and was getting worse, was toothache or sinusius. After many days on painkillers something moved and it's alot better. Then another medical issue meant our plans to walk into town were scuppered.

In the afternoon we had a long, wet and noisy walk to Screwfix to change a light tube which was the wrong length for the fitting despite both being a T4. The chap at the store could not understand that a T4 tube was now was a different size to the T4 tube we bought a couple of years ago. Neither could I.

A pleasant evening was spent with the refs society meeeting listening to a top flight referee talking about the new guidlines for high tackles and the application of sanctions thereof.
