But what's it called?

Heliopsis (sneezewort) or helenium scabra (sunflower). They look very similar in the book.
In a neighbour's courtyard garden the bronze form looks so lovely and after a tiddly shower of rain overnight they had a moistness about them that no bee could resist.
I am showing the loops here on the central cone as a macro but you will see more of this beauty don't worry.
