Water lily
Walked up to local shops for something for lunch and then helped son number one get ready for his trip to Reading Festival. He only has a day ticket this year and there is a severe weather warning in place for rain, storms and high winds.
This lily was at the bottom of our old leaky pond and just hung on to life. Since it has been transplanted to the new pond, it has produced this lovely flower. I'm looking forward to it opening fully over the weekend.
We've had thunder and showers so far today but no really heavy rain - keeping our fingers crossed for the festival-goers. We can hear the music from several miles away this evening. Not identifiable yet - some years it depends on the wind direction.
