Pairs

Misty start to the day and a walk in it through the woods of Cotehele appealed. Colourful Mai had been messaging me and I decided maybe she too could do with a calming walk - conversation optional. She decided she did but needed time to get ready so we set the time for 1 when the mist had lifted!
Cotehele was fairly quiet but for the dog walkers - and was a drippy, mossy, bird song filled pleasure. We did talk and it helped us both. We sat by the river and had hot drinks from the tearoom - spiced berry for her, apple and cinnamon for me! There was a whole number of dogs waiting for their owners to finish their beverages, and we spoke about getting a dog.  Both felt at some future point we might and I said how I had heard of people dog sharing - much mirth ensued as I  stated could she see me sharing a dog with anyone and she  agreed no! She could but never with me! The very idea of me sharing a dog just made us laugh  so hard! My first laughter of 2017 and oh it felt so good. We all know what I'm like with the chickens - can you imagine how I would be with a dog?!!!!!! :-0
Shortly after I spotted the swans so positioned myself to catch them as they glided down the river! She then walked home and I drove back to prepare for closing the chickens and feeding Milkshake. passed Nellie of the Woods on driving into the village so stopped for a natter.  This too helped to sort out the emotions of the previous day -I'm not one for triteness and neither is she but we are both fans of the sometimes brutal truth about ourselves and others, as is Colourful Mai. The day ended with a lot more clarity and calmness.
