Not the best day . . .

. . . for an agricultural show. But I suppose many have been washed out this year.

Dufton Show is a traditional show. In fact some old photos held in the village indicate that it has changed very little in format from many, many years ago. Sheep, cattle, horses, pet show, fancy dress, tug of war, crafts, flower arranging, vegetables, cakes. It's all there.

We walked up to the fields towards the end of the show and arrived just in time for the vintage tractor parade. Here are a few just setting off for the parade. Carefully restored, they make a fine sight.

But as you can see . . .
