Rain stops play

Have been wet all day. Swimming this morning then went to fulwood barracks this afternoon for the annual military show.

Considering I've lived near Preston all my life and for the last 7 years I've lived 5 minutes' walk away I've never been through the gates of the barracks before.

Sadly it was a complete washout today. So wet that the final parade was cancelled as was the procession of the Paralympic torch :(

Still, when I woke up this morning I didn't know that I'd see the torch today so I'm no worse off I suppose.

We walked there, got wet, had a look round, got wetter, came home, threw the kids in a warm bath and counted our blessings we're not army personnel who have to stay there till everything is tidied away again.
